Listen.

I can't help but think that since no one asks me to do photoshoots anymore that I'm too fat.

I know I'm prettier than some of the stupid hipsters that my friends shoot with.

The Walking Dead, otherwise known as The Drama-filled not a zombie show.

I can't help it. I hate the Walking Dead. This is coming from someone who was EXTREMELY psyched to watch it, since I voraciously plowed through the first twelve trades of the as fast as I could. I understand that they are two different entities (the comic vs. the show) but the show is so far off the comic, that they should change the title. The show is reminiscent of my last relationship, which left me cheated on and unfulfilled.

The first episode, in my opinion, was flawless. For a premiere to be 1.5 hours and contain so many gripping images, I thought for sure I would hooked. I was barely able to wait a week to see the next episode. Especially with Greg Nicotero doing the makeup, and the showcase of the awesome zombie torso, I couldn't see how they could fuck up the show. The comics have it laid out in a fast-paced, interesting manner, that all they would really have to do would be to follow the comics pretty much frame by frame, ala Scott Pilgrim.

Episode two starts out innocently enough, with Rick being in the tank, meeting Glenn, and then the decision to add a crap load of new characters. BECAUSE GOOD TV NEEDS RACIAL ISSUES OBVI. Merle is the most unnecessary POS, and the addition of "T-Dog" (stereotpyical, much?) is confusing. Is he a replacement for Tyrese? Who knows? He is definitely still alive at the end of the season.

The most unnerving, pointless character in this entire pointless show is Andrea and her crying. You would think her mouth would dry out from always being open, and curled into the shape of a goddamn crescent roll. I liked Andrea in the comics, she was complex, fell in love with Dale, and was deadly with a sniper. In the show, she is a quivering ball of shit who loves to talk about fishing. I didn't feel bad for her when Amy was bitten because you don't care what happens to the characters in the show. They are like your ex boyfriend/girlfriend, and you just keep hoping something bad happens to them.

Another pointless deviation from the comics comes with the Mexican gang who steals Glenn, and we come to find out that they are gangsters with hearts of gold protecting old people from the outbreak. Awww. Its heartwarming, but completely pointless.

In the last two episodes, there were zombies for <5 minutes. LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES!

In summation, the Walking Dead should change its name to "Emo people who complain a lot and almost never run into zombies."

I'm not a fangirl, because I hate the word. I understand how people have been saying things to me about my opinion of this show. I don't care. I don't like it. I think the cinematography is beautiful, it makes me want to go to Georgia, but nothing can help a shoestring story, no amount of awesome makeup, great cinematography, or hype. The Walking Dead is simply bullshit.
