Listen.

I can't help but think that since no one asks me to do photoshoots anymore that I'm too fat.

I know I'm prettier than some of the stupid hipsters that my friends shoot with.

The Walking Dead, otherwise known as The Drama-filled not a zombie show.

I can't help it. I hate the Walking Dead. This is coming from someone who was EXTREMELY psyched to watch it, since I voraciously plowed through the first twelve trades of the as fast as I could. I understand that they are two different entities (the comic vs. the show) but the show is so far off the comic, that they should change the title. The show is reminiscent of my last relationship, which left me cheated on and unfulfilled.

The first episode, in my opinion, was flawless. For a premiere to be 1.5 hours and contain so many gripping images, I thought for sure I would hooked. I was barely able to wait a week to see the next episode. Especially with Greg Nicotero doing the makeup, and the showcase of the awesome zombie torso, I couldn't see how they could fuck up the show. The comics have it laid out in a fast-paced, interesting manner, that all they would really have to do would be to follow the comics pretty much frame by frame, ala Scott Pilgrim.

Episode two starts out innocently enough, with Rick being in the tank, meeting Glenn, and then the decision to add a crap load of new characters. BECAUSE GOOD TV NEEDS RACIAL ISSUES OBVI. Merle is the most unnecessary POS, and the addition of "T-Dog" (stereotpyical, much?) is confusing. Is he a replacement for Tyrese? Who knows? He is definitely still alive at the end of the season.

The most unnerving, pointless character in this entire pointless show is Andrea and her crying. You would think her mouth would dry out from always being open, and curled into the shape of a goddamn crescent roll. I liked Andrea in the comics, she was complex, fell in love with Dale, and was deadly with a sniper. In the show, she is a quivering ball of shit who loves to talk about fishing. I didn't feel bad for her when Amy was bitten because you don't care what happens to the characters in the show. They are like your ex boyfriend/girlfriend, and you just keep hoping something bad happens to them.

Another pointless deviation from the comics comes with the Mexican gang who steals Glenn, and we come to find out that they are gangsters with hearts of gold protecting old people from the outbreak. Awww. Its heartwarming, but completely pointless.

In the last two episodes, there were zombies for <5 minutes. LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES!

In summation, the Walking Dead should change its name to "Emo people who complain a lot and almost never run into zombies."

I'm not a fangirl, because I hate the word. I understand how people have been saying things to me about my opinion of this show. I don't care. I don't like it. I think the cinematography is beautiful, it makes me want to go to Georgia, but nothing can help a shoestring story, no amount of awesome makeup, great cinematography, or hype. The Walking Dead is simply bullshit.

Unique New York

I don't know how to express myself anymore. I can't seem to get through to anyone, not even my journal.

I need to party.

I feel..

Listen..

I've always been too crass or swearing like a sailor, but most of the time I'm joking. I come up with different things to say things. I'm going to think what I think, and if I can be proved otherwise, I will shut the eff up.

Today is completely stupid. I hope my Jeep doesn't cost too much to fix.

Life: 9 months in

Ash-es on Halloween
Cheesing in Brooklyn
KP, age 2 as Bozo
Fox Mulder playing Castelvania

EVERYTHING IS GREAT.
I have never, ever, ever been this happy. Every morning, when I wake up and its cold and dark at 6:30, I don't even care. I wake up next to the man I am really looking forward to marrying. I love my job, and I just need to wokr on saving for a new car. Some drama has been happening outside of my perfect bubble, but its laughable, and unimportant to me. I'm getting really excited that Alicia is moving back to Indy for next semester, and still looking forward to getting my first tattoo.

I'm going to dye my hair red soon.

Baggy Update

My Baggy
So by now I'm sure everyone knows that my old roommate Katie stole my cat, Bagheera. Well he lives in Oregon now with one of her really lame friends. I found this picture of him on Facebook, and its exciting to see that he's all big now. I miss him, and I would imagine that he and Mulder would be good friends. I want to get another black cat one day.

I guess its for the better that I don't have anything to remind me about my life in Lafayette. I keep having really weird dreams about I don't like it. Its like I'm just kicking myself for putting up with bullshit for so long. I'm embarrassed that I dated someone like that. EMBARRASSED. I've never said anything like that before. I'm still good friends with Ryan, and was always cool with Tim after we broke up, but golly gee, I have so many negative waves towards Eric. I think that it makes me look dumb to have put up with that for so long. And there's no way I will ever by eloquent enough to truly express how I feel. Embarrassed is a diet word for what I really feel. Ashamed? Unlucky? 20 and extremely dumb? A waste of 2 years? I'll never know.

I just can't thank my lucky stars enough for Mark. He's pretty perfect in every way. I've seen or talked to him everyday since February 18th, and still going strong. I trust him, he does nice things, and probably the greatest thing is that he doesn't have a terrible reputation. He's just the right person for me, and I can't believe it took me 22 years to find him.

Delusionoids

I hate 'em! Here are pictures of kittens to help me calm down. Ugh. I feel like I only blog when I am upset. I can't even begin to explain about this delusionoid pair that keeps popping up. They really should be together.
Fox Mulder, one of the loves of my life.

I hope you are doing okay, Bagheera.

Condessions of a Complete Inconsiderate: A Dating History

I heard a song this morning by a band, of which I personally know the girl who is married to the lead singer. (Side note that this girl is absolute long blonde hair artistic perfection). They've been together for YEARS, since at least 2003. I can't imagine having the maturity to be with someone since that young. In 2003, I had still not had a boyfriend. And with all of the winners I've dated, I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief that I'm not with any of them for specifically tailored reasons to each of them. Thinking about who I used to be, I can't imagine why anyone would want to even stay friends with me....and they didn't, I have almost no friends from who I used to be.

I've always been so caught up in my own head, making up things in my own head, and taking on other people's problems to dangerously consuming levels. I guess I've always felt that I wasn't good enough, or too good, or a multitude of reasons why I never was one of those cool girls I looked up to.

I've never put someone else first, and I think its the time to start.

I look like a homeless person with no makeup just getting out of the beds.

Lately.

I start my new job on Monday. I am really excited.

I’ve been laying low because lots of things have been making me upset, and I figure the best thing is to ignore them, so I don’t get myself worked up.

I feel pretty underappreciated by everyone except Mark, my parents, his parents, and Aubrey.

Been sick lately..way too much.

Really want to be exuberant again.

I get my stuff and barely make my plane back to the United States... I no longer know who I am and I feel like the ghost of a total stranger.

Don't diss your friends when you know they are listening. I have a horrible song stuck in my head.

I guess you can always count on me to turn into Igor when I drink.

The Champagne of Beers

Today was a pretty amazing day. One of the first times I woke up this summer without allergies, and I was very awake. I made some peppermint coffee, drove the 1.5 hours to work, worked on a legitimate work-related project, worked on Fettie Page, and now I'm home contemplating dinner. I believe today was amazing in part due to this being the first non-humid day since I got home from New York. Indiana is funny that way. I actually can't wait to get out of here. This post-college transition what-am-I-doing-with-my-life-phase really wants to be over. I am actively trying to start a career. Maybe I should be doing, because trying doesn't seem to be working. Anyway, living the High Life for Happy Hour, then back to the drawing board. Actually, come to think of it, we need a drawing board. We only have a coffee table.  Ash just found this picture of us at the Canal. As i recall, last summer was cooler and drunker than this one. Summer resolution? Get drunk...for once.

6 months in.

I've been dating Mark for six months, and I couldn't be happier. Everyday is a new experience, and every day I fall deeper in love with him. I can't stop thinking about our life together, and how I found my counterpart. I love our apartment, and I love waking up with Mark. He makes sure I don't get scared at night, and helps me out if I do (been watching a lot of ghost shows).

I've been trying to think good thoughts about people I don't like, and not letting small things get to me. If you read the previous post, its not working that well.  Small stuff like fake girls, dumb girls, and lots of girls in general make me so mad for no reason. Its one of my biggest flaws to care about other people's business. I need to work on that even more.

Halloween is coming up, and I'm thinking a paper plate Stormtrooper couple or The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend.

I need to fix the way I look, or I am seriously going to go insane.
Adrianne Curry makes me want to PUKE.

This comment from idontlikeyouinthatway.com pretty much sums up my opinion:

"Who cares? Adrienne Curry SUCKS. She is an attention whore who plays on nerd things to be different. Trying to cling on to her used up 15 seconds of fame."

TODAY:
We should all stop paying attention to her. The glamour world of Hollywood did not want her, so she has jumped on the next best thing, a niche market. I agree that she does not deserve to be treated that way, but according to people at Celebration, she was not wearing the Slave Leia costume at the time of the alleged "molestation."

10 injured in 3 shootings

There were three shootings in downtown Indianapolis last night. I would just like to say that the Black Expo promotes segregation. The world should just live like the Elvis song 'If I Can Dream.' We don't need to group ourselves by something like race.

Bullseye-ing womp-rats

My parents met Mark's parents last night. We all had dinner at P.F Chang's, and it was wonderful. They all like our apartment, and we had a great time. I was really glad to see my parents, because I haven't seen them since graduation. I'm glad that as I'm getting older we are getting along better.

Mark and I got our Marion County library cards today, and it still hasn't set in that I live here. I never thought I would move to Indianapolis, but then again, I never thought I would meet the man of my dreams either. I'm getting into the swing of things, and trying desperately to keep everything neat and tidy. I still have two giant Rubbermaid coffins of clothes to unpack, though.

Hustla by nature

Everything is wonderful now. I love our apartment. I fall in love with Mark every time I see him. Its wonderful to wake up in a clean, nerdy apartment with the cutest boy ever. I should probably post some pictures soon.

Deal with this placeholder for now.

I loved New York.

Storm.

The sky is filled with electricity.
As the wind whips my hair up, I begin to feel like Storm from X-Men.
Watching this power does not compare
to the power I know through love.
We all know the weight of the world is love.

Bad poetry? Oh noetry! I was mildly inspired by the storm. I drove up to the top of a parking garage to get a better look.

It led me to a non-alcoholic summer

 (file photo)
I'M MOVING IN TWO DAYS!
I cleaned so much of the disgusting house that I have lived in for a year. One of the things that I learned is that jocks and sportos DO NOT CLEAN. Since I have a roommate who has lived there for three years (who is cool as shit, though), I can’t imagine how no one has bothered to clean anything EVAR. It took four mop buckets of mop solution and bleach to get the initial layer of crap off of the kitchen floor. Then I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed that motherfucker with bleach spray, and washed the walls and baseboards with anti-bacterial wipes, because, let’s face it, this shit needed to be anti-bacced.

We are really looking forward to decorating and especially living together, which led to a string of supergrossromanticalmostmarried tweets and texts, which I will not go into so you don’t throw up on your keyboard. Updates to come. I’m going to New York for the first time ever on Thursday. Wish me luck!

I feel really skinny today. All of my clothes are fitting really well, which is an achievement since Feb-May was seriously the fattest I've ever been in my life. Its probably from cleaning and not eating. I'll take it, though.

I love my Daddy.

I would like to thank my dad for the immense knowledge he's given me, his understanding when I do stupid things, and his amazing collection of tee-shirts.

Say YES to Responsibilty

I need to find a job so bad. I'm losing hope after applying to about 20 jobs. I don't know what else to do. My resume is super versatile, and I have so many work experiences. FRUSTRATING. More researching onto jobs ahead.

HIRE THIS FACE!

Win.

There are few looks for girls that are better than having just barely won a fight and standing there kind of panting and laughing with a couple of bleeding cuts like, “Holy shit!” This right here is high-octane boner fuel.

The weekend and beyond

Can't wait to see more Ash Ford!

Can't wait to live in the same building as my Aub!

Mark's nephew is the cutest babeh.

I love Mark Pritchard more than any dumb words can describe.

Vintage.

http://glam-kitten-77.livejournal.com/

I was such a lame-wad.

Hey! That's no way to say goodbye.

Sometimes I miss my old best friend. We were friends for about six years. He stopped being friends with me because of his girlfriend. She's a pushover, and that's what he looks for in girls. Every girl he's ever dated as been a pushover, even to the point of changing their diets for him. He says "I will never kiss anyone who isn't a vegetarian." Elitism doesn't look good on anyone. But if he's happy with that, then who cares?

I guess it shouldn't bother me that much, because I'm always going to be loud, brash, and opinionated, which is something Collin could never deal with, looking back on it. Sometimes I just want to tell him how happy I am with Mark, and have some coffee at the Steer when I go home. Its hard to listen to pop-punk albums because they all remind me of when I had someone at home to rely on. I have nothing to go back to when I go home, so I don't.

Maybe we were never that good of friends.

Sounds good to me.

  • BREAKFAST: Full-fat Greek yoghurt with a handful of berries, sliced almonds, walnuts and sunflower seeds. OR 2 poached eggs plus smoked salmon or mushrooms and tomatoes.
  • LUNCH: Grilled salmon fillet or a big tin of tuna in oil with a large packet of Lamb’s lettuce, a chopped-up boiled egg, a few cherry tomatoes and ½ avocado.
  • DINNER: Chicken or home-made beefburgers plus cooked vegetables (I love broccoli, kale and cauliflower), plus 2 tbsp of olive oil or omega-packed Udo’s Choice oil.
  • SNACKS: I try not to snack, but if I am hungry I’ll have a handful of Brazil nuts.

FML.

I'm so stressed about moving that I can't eat. I cried myself to quasi-sleep last night, and have been a mess all day. I feel like I just made a huge mistake with a client on the phone. Its really unfair that undue stress from an outside party is messing with the plans we have. Moving to Indy and moving in with Mark mean SO much to me, and I'm unsure if the outside party understands how much it means to me. It means getting out on my own, starting a career, and most importantly starting a life with the man I am going to marry. I'm trying to do anything I can, including selling art and doing odd jobs including helping one of my co-workers paint his entire house. If I had anything valuable to sell, I would sell it, but no one wants Star Wars toys, ugly clothes, or books.

I'm glad Mark is there to help pep talk me up. We still haven't had a fight, and surprisingly, my parents are pretty cool with me moving in with my boyfriend.

Thursday, June 3, 2010

Moving on up.

Mark and I applied for our apartment together. Its a beautifully renovated one bedroom in downtown Indianapolis. Hopefully with our job situations and parental situations everything works out for us. We're looking to start our lives together, and this is a pretty amazingly huge step.

I hope we get the place!

Happy Memorial Day via retards on Facebook

Some yahoo messaged me on Facebook this morning, and I would like to share this. I don't know this person at all, and it came out of the blue. Since he's attacking choices that Mark made, my defenses are up.

Seth Handjobson- Does your boyfriend realize that when he gets older his earlobes are just going to be HANGing there? Just curious.

KP-One: What's your deal? Two: Obviously you know nothing about the properties of cartilage. Three: Don't talk to strangers.

Seth Handjobson-One: I didn't mean to offend. Two: Our ear lobes are NOT made of cartilage. Three: I just want him to be aware that this is permanent and don't want him to regret it later.
Check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stretching_%28body_piercing%29

KP- The fact that its his decision and I love it on him really has nothing to do with you. I don't know you and would appreciate that you kept your opinions to yourself regarding strangers. I have my inner cartilage stretched, he has his ears stretched. I don't see how personal choices that probably will leave you with a scar or disfigurement matter. In that same stride, women might as well not get c-sections because they might have an irreparable scar.

Please don't talk to me again about ANYTHING. I don't know you, care to know you, or give any gravity to your opinion.

I hate people.

I like the way night time smells.

Even snuggles on a mattress that was violently removed from a 400 degree room to be put promptly under the air conditioner beats out anything every time. Falling asleep next to the man I love is my favorite thing to do.

Endless amounts of perfect moments..

what other point is there?

Temper Trap

I don't think I've ever fallen in love with a photo like I have with this one.
Build a wall of books
Between us in our bed
Repeat, repeat the words
That I know we both said
Relax into the need

Sweet disposition

Had a wonderful time on Saturday with Des (@Art_Deco_Dame) and Jess (@MissJessH) at the Bluefin Bistro. Wonderful sushi was had, in addition to my first good Bluefin experience.

The job search is wearing me out. I am either over qualified or not qualified enough. Its so easy to spot scam jobs though. I've been keeping a list of everything I've applied for, but this whole experience is scary. I'm looking to start a career, yet Purdue hasn't prepared me at all. Do you change your resume for each job? I don't know! I feel like they were just willing to take my money, while not giving me the best collegiate experience available.

I'm watching 500 Days of Summer and loving life. Woke up next to the most beautiful man this morning, and I'll get to see him again tomorrow. We cooked like a cute little married couple last night. Amazing food. Cannot ask for more.
