Temper Trap

I don't think I've ever fallen in love with a photo like I have with this one.
Build a wall of books
Between us in our bed
Repeat, repeat the words
That I know we both said
Relax into the need

Sweet disposition

Had a wonderful time on Saturday with Des (@Art_Deco_Dame) and Jess (@MissJessH) at the Bluefin Bistro. Wonderful sushi was had, in addition to my first good Bluefin experience.

The job search is wearing me out. I am either over qualified or not qualified enough. Its so easy to spot scam jobs though. I've been keeping a list of everything I've applied for, but this whole experience is scary. I'm looking to start a career, yet Purdue hasn't prepared me at all. Do you change your resume for each job? I don't know! I feel like they were just willing to take my money, while not giving me the best collegiate experience available.

I'm watching 500 Days of Summer and loving life. Woke up next to the most beautiful man this morning, and I'll get to see him again tomorrow. We cooked like a cute little married couple last night. Amazing food. Cannot ask for more.

Father Knows Best

I talked with my dad for a while yesterday, which when I call just to tell him I love him, often happens. He complimented me on growing up, and said that he is still reeling from the Purdue graduation ceremony. Since I'm the first child to graduate college, I'm sure by the time my brothers are done that sitting through three hour ceremonies will lose its luster.

He went on to say how great it is that I'm not an angsty, angry teenager anymore. Which, as much as he loves me, probably meant that from 2002-2006 that he hated my guts. I'm happy I never went through with lots of the things I wanted to when I was a teen, an am super glad that I don't have a tramp stamp* with the Aerosmith logo. (*I wanted this tattoo in 10th grade.) This teenager situation scares me about having kids because with my luck I'd have one that would be an even bigger shit than I was. Granted, it could have been worse if it hadn't been for my self-imposed celibacy, and the fact that I only wanted to listen to punk music and drink at sleepovers.

I'm really glad that I had this talk with my dad. He's my favorite, and after almost losing him twice, I make an effort to tell him that I love him everyday.

My mom has gotten a lot better, even going on to call Mark 'wonderful' when I told her he went to get me medicine for my crippling cramps. She's even hugged him twice, which for people I've dated is a first. I'm so glad my parents like him, because Mark is going to be around for quite a long time.
Oh yeah, and Mark got me a gorgeous ring for my graduation. I can't stop looking at it.

I'm sh-sh-shakin'

  • I'm waiting for my parents to get to my house for graduation. After five years of college in a little slice of hell know as West Lafayette, IN, I am done.
  • I've never been so stressed and so uncertain in my life.
  • I have two friends that I've been friends with since freshman year, Nick and Natalie.
  • I've dated four boys in college. I am now dating the man I'm going to marry. He's meeting my parents tonight, and I'm not worried because he will win them over so fast with his sparkling personality.
  • It feels really weird to be growing up, but I am certainly ready to.

All the right moves.

All the right moves? I have none. I am so unbelievably stressed at trying to find a job I'm passionate about. I'm not even worried about finding one in nutrition. Purdue sucked at networking for its students in my department. Sorry I'm not a kiss-ass, and didn't suck up to the professors. The ADA can suck a big one for creating competition when THEY ARE THE ONLY ORGANIZATION THAT LICENSES DIETITIANS.

I'm super stressed. At least I have my Mark, and my great friends.

If I end up going to cosmetology school, I will feel like a failure.

Take 2 Blue

"Quit telling the world everyday how amazing and wonderful your girlfriend is...when she's not. We get it you are blinded by her love."

I love when people talk shit.
